The covid-19 pandemic, according to president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, could lead to the loss of at least one million jobs in Mexico.

If your source of income and employment has been affected, here are a series of tips on when, where, and how to apply for a job:

WHEN

June and July will be key months since it is estimated that by those dates, the quarantine for the coronavirus will be declared ended, considers Susana Weinstock, vice president of the American Association of Retired People, for El Heraldo de México.

WHERE

In key companies during the pandemic, such as the health sector, food, or customer service services via telephone, they will have a more significant opportunity to pay salaries and sign labor agreements with more staff.

Another option is to become a freelancer and set up a home office. Different consortia will look for someone to do a specific job without creating a stable employment relationship with costs and commitments that they cannot afford.

Remember also that as of January 1, mining, construction, and manufacturing of transport equipment will reopen even with the reopening light in red.

HOW

Experts recommended preparing a CV that does not exceed two pages. Don''t include experience accumulated over the last 10 or 15 years so that your profile as a potential candidate is evaluated briefly.

It is essential to use the keywords recognized by recruiters for each job title. Knowing the sector and analyzing the job offer will help choose the appropriate vocabulary and highlight the expert.

Highlighting in your CV the availability to work from home or interviewing by video conferencing could be an extra point in sectors or positions that do not require physical presence to carry out the charge tasks.
